4D Modelling is a time phased visualisation of a project. This phased visualisation is usually provided in monthly or weekly ”snapshots” derived from the Tender or Construction Programme. These snapshots provide a visual status of where the project should be at  specific points in time.

The aim of the visualisation is to provide a clear understanding of the construction sequence & methodology. It allows the contractor to provide a clearer understanding to the Client/Project Manager of how the project will be completed.

A short visual presentation of the construction of a project can provide a large number of benefits to a potential contractor at tender stage.
