Assessing claims for an extension of time can be complicated and at times confusing. There may be concurrent delays caused by both the Contractor and the Principal and such need to be properly identified, assessed and reconciled.

At Building & Planning Strategies we are able to meet with the Contractor to establish the facts on which the claim is based and correlate these with a detailed assessment of the effect on the programme.

An extension of time programme can be assembled indicating the number of days delay to the critical path and hence the justification for the amount of the claim.

From the Principal’s perspective, Building & Planning Strategies can effect an unbiased and accurate assessment of claims submitted by the Contractor.
